The LG G8 ThinQ has an overall score of 84.3, which is slightly better than Galaxy S5's 80.8 global score. Both of these phones use Android OS, but LG G8 ThinQ has newer 9.0 Pie version while Galaxy S5 has Android 4.4.2. Even though LG G8 ThinQ is notably newer than the Galaxy S5, it's heavier and a little bit thicker.

Galaxy S5 features just a bit better display than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a way worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a little greater pixels density. LG G8 ThinQ has a way bigger storage for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S5, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB.

LG G8 ThinQ features just a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory and more processing cores. LG G8 ThinQ has superior battery duration than Galaxy S5, because it has a 3500mAh battery capacity.

LG G8 ThinQ takes clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy S5, because although it has a lower (4K) video quality and a lot lower 12 mega-pixels resolution back camera, and they both have the same back camera sensor size, the LG G8 ThinQ also counts with a way larger camera aperture.
