Both of these phones have Android OS, but the LG G8 ThinQ has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The LG G8 ThinQ body is extremely newer, but just a bit thicker and just a little heavier than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
