Comparison review

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is much better than LG G8 ThinQ, getting a 94.6 score against 84.3. Both devices we are comparing work with Android OS, but Galaxy Z Fold 2 has 11 version while LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 design is newer and thinner, but heavier than LG G8 ThinQ.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a little faster processing unit than LG G8 ThinQ, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has more RAM memory. LG G8 ThinQ features a brighter display than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much greater screen pixels density and a quite better resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 captures slightly better videos and photos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not good for low light photography and video, and they both have a back-facing camera with a 12 megapixels, the same video resolution and the same 60 fps video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with a lot larger sensor shooting way better quality videos and photographs.

The LG G8 ThinQ features a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has only 128 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with better battery duration than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 29% bigger battery capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG G8 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G8 ThinQ. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy LG G8 ThinQ, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
