Comparison review

Xperia 1 III is better than LG G8 ThinQ, having a general score of 93.3 against 84.3. Xperia 1 III's design is newer and a bit thinner, but somewhat heavier than LG G8 ThinQ. Both devices we compare here have Android OS, but Xperia 1 III has the previous 11 version and LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie version.

The LG G8 ThinQ has a bit sharper screen than Xperia 1 III, although it has a little lower 1440 x 3120 pixels resolution, a bit smaller display and a bit lower amount of pixels per inch of display. Sony Xperia 1 III features a bit better performance than LG G8 ThinQ, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has more RAM memory.

The Xperia 1 III features just a bit bigger memory capacity for applications and games than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a SD card slot that supports 976 GB smaller, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Xperia 1 III has longer battery lifetime than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.

The Xperia 1 III counts with a slightly better camera than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same resolution back facing camera, the Xperia 1 III also counts with better 120 frames per second video frame rates and a way larger sensor which gives a lot higher image and video quality.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than LG G8 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G8 ThinQ. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save some money and get the LG G8 ThinQ, giving up a couple specs and features.
