Comparison review

The Xperia 5 II is a bit better than LG G8 ThinQ, having an 87.2 score against 84.3. The Xperia 5 II design is newer, just a little lighter and just a little bit thinner than LG G8 ThinQ. LG G8 ThinQ features a sharper display than Xperia 5 II, and although they both have a display of the same size, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a greater screen density and a better resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels.

LG G8 ThinQ counts with a quite bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xperia 5 II, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a SD card slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. LG G8 ThinQ and Xperia 5 II both count with extremely similar CPUs, and although the Xperia 5 II has a greater amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 cores.

The Sony Xperia 5 II features just a little bit longer battery life than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3500mAh. Xperia 5 II has a little bit better camera than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not good for shooting images or video in low light environments, and they both have a same resolution camera in the back and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xperia 5 II also counts with a much larger sensor which gives a way better image and video quality and higher 120 fps video frame rate.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG G8 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG G8 ThinQ. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy LG G8 ThinQ, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
