The LG G8 ThinQ is a bit better than Xperia XA2 Plus, getting an 84.3 score against 78.6. The LG G8 ThinQ is a lighter and somewhat thinner cellphone than Xperia XA2 Plus, even when both of them were only released 8 months apart. Both of these phones use Android OS (operating system), but the LG G8 ThinQ has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version.

LG G8 ThinQ features a much better looking screen than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has a higher pixel density, a quite more brightness, a little bit larger screen and a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px. The LG G8 ThinQ has a bit superior CPU than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus. They have a Octa-Core processing unit and the same RAM amount.

Sony Xperia XA2 Plus shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has lower video frame rate and a lot tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for capturing photographs or video in low light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also counts with a larger back camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality and a lot better 23 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.

The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 128 GB internal memory and a SD card slot that supports up to 1,95 TB. Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has a little longer battery lifetime than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 2% more battery size.
