Comparison review
Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro is slightly better than LG G8 ThinQ, getting a 90.1 score against 84.3. Both devices in this review include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro has an older 10 version and LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie. Even though Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro is newer than the LG G8 ThinQ, it's somewhat thicker and extremely heavier.
The LG G8 ThinQ counts with just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 1440 x 3120 resolution, the LG G8 ThinQ also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro features a processing unit that is just as good as the LG G8 ThinQ one, and although the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro has 2 GB more RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
LG G8 ThinQ counts with a much better memory capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro, because although it has just 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro takes much clearer pictures and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro also counts with a lot larger sensor capturing much higher quality videos and pictures and a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 Pro counts with a much longer battery life than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 43% bigger battery size.
