The LG G8 ThinQ is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, getting an 84.3 score against 78.1. LG G8 ThinQ's construction is noticeably newer and just a little lighter, but a bit thicker than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the LG G8 ThinQ has 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it provides the user a lot of extra features.
The LG G8 ThinQ counts with a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has a quite bigger display, a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels, a bit more brightness and a greater display pixels density. LG G8 ThinQ counts with much more memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the LG G8 ThinQ also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.
LG G8 ThinQ counts with a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have a 6 GB RAM, the LG G8 ThinQ also has 4 more processing cores. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with a little longer battery lifetime than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 9 percent larger battery size.
The LG G8 ThinQ shoots clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although it has a less mega pixels back-facing camera and a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, it also counts with a much larger diafragm aperture to capture better photos and videos in low light environments and a bigger back camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality.
