Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has a score of 91.5, which is just a bit better than LG G8 ThinQ's 84.3 overall score. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer construction is a lot newer than the LG G8 ThinQ's, although it is heavier and just a little bit thicker. Both devices in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has the previous 12 version while LG G8 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie version.

LG G8 ThinQ features a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, although it has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. LG G8 ThinQ counts with a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, because although it has a bit smaller display and way less brightness, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a higher pixels density.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer shoots much better photos and videos than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rates and a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low-light captures and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer also counts with a back facing camera with a lot better 200 megapixels resolution and a way larger back-facing camera sensor which offers a much better photo and video quality.

LG G8 ThinQ features much more memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has better battery life than LG G8 ThinQ, because it has a 4300mAh battery size instead of 3500mAh.
