LG G8S ThinQ has a global score of 82.5, which is a little bit better than Google Pixel 3a XL's general score of 78.9. Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but LG G8S ThinQ has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Google Pixel 3a XL has Android 11 version, giving some extra features. LG G8S ThinQ's body is a little bit thinner but just a little heavier than the Google Pixel 3a XL, and they were only released 2 months apart.
The LG G8S ThinQ has just a bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the LG G8S ThinQ also has 2 GB more RAM. The LG G8S ThinQ has a bit better looking display than Google Pixel 3a XL, and although they both have the same display pixel density, the LG G8S ThinQ also has a little bigger display and a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels.
LG G8S ThinQ takes a little bit better videos and photos than Google Pixel 3a XL, although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a lower resolution camera, they both have a F1.8 camera aperture. The LG G8S ThinQ features a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Pixel 3a XL, because it has 64 GB more internal storage and an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB.
The Google Pixel 3a XL counts with a bit better battery lifetime than LG G8S ThinQ, because it has a 4% bigger battery capacity.
