LG G8X ThinQ has a global score of 82.7, which is just a bit better than Huawei P20 Pro's global score of 81.4. Both of these devices include the same Android 10 OS, so you shouldn't see any differences regarding that. The LG G8X ThinQ is a newer phone than the Huawei P20 Pro, but it's a little thicker and a bit heavier.
The LG G8X ThinQ features a bit superior CPU than Huawei P20 Pro. Both of them have a 6 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processor. The LG G8X ThinQ counts with a little sharper display than Huawei P20 Pro, because although it has a just a bit less pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a little larger display and a bit higher 1080 x 2340px resolution.
LG G8X ThinQ features a much bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the LG G8X ThinQ also has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB. Huawei P20 Pro has a superior camera than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has lower video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a F1.8 aperture, the Huawei P20 Pro also counts with a lot larger back camera sensor and a back facing camera with a much better resolution.
Huawei P20 Pro's battery life is very similar to LG G8X ThinQ's battery duration.
