LG G8X ThinQ is just a bit better than LG V40 ThinQ, getting a global score of 82.7 against 81.2. Both of these phones come with the same Android 10 operating system. Even though the LG G8X ThinQ is newer than LG V40 ThinQ, it's heavier and a little thicker. LG V40 ThinQ's processor is very similar to the processing unit in LG G8X ThinQ, they have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores.
The LG V40 ThinQ features a slightly better screen than LG G8X ThinQ, and although they both have a display of the same size, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a higher 1440 x 3120px resolution and a better pixel number per inch in the screen. LG G8X ThinQ counts with a bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than LG V40 ThinQ, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB, the LG G8X ThinQ also has 64 GB more internal storage.
LG V40 ThinQ features just a bit better camera than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has a smaller back-facing camera sensor taking worse quality videos and pictures, and they both have the same 60 frames per second video frame rates, the same (4K) video resolution and a same resolution back-facing camera, the LG V40 ThinQ also counts with a larger camera aperture to capture better captures and video in poorly lited situations.
