The LG Velvet has an overall score of 87.1, which is a bit better than LG G8X ThinQ's 82.7 general score. Even though LG Velvet and the LG G8X ThinQ were released with only 7 months difference, LG Velvet is just a bit thinner and just a bit lighter. LG G8X ThinQ features a little more vivid display than LG Velvet, because although it has a bit worse 1080 x 2340 resolution and a little smaller display, it also counts with a just a little greater number of pixels in each inch of screen.
The LG Velvet features as much memory to store more apps and games as the LG G8X ThinQ one, they have a SD extension slot that admits up to 1,95 TB and exactly the same internal memory capacity. The LG G8X ThinQ has a little faster processor than LG Velvet. Both have a 6 GB RAM and 8 cores. The LG Velvet features a superior camera than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has worse 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have a F1.8 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the LG Velvet also counts with a lot higher 48 mega pixels resolution camera in the back and a lot bigger sensor shooting much better quality videos and pictures.
The LG Velvet features a bit longer battery life than LG G8X ThinQ, because it has an 8% larger battery capacity.
LG Velvet is more expensive than the LG G8X ThinQ, but it's still a good choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
