Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is just a bit better than LG G8X ThinQ's 82.7 global score. Although the Samsung Galaxy A42 is newer than LG G8X ThinQ, it's just a little heavier and just a bit thicker. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy A42 has a more recent 11 version while LG G8X ThinQ has Android 10, giving some nice extra features.
The LG G8X ThinQ features a better screen than Galaxy A42, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater pixel number per display inch and a much better 1080 x 2340 resolution. LG G8X ThinQ has a greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the LG G8X ThinQ also has an external SD slot that admits up to 1,95 TB.
The LG G8X ThinQ features just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG G8X ThinQ also has a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy A42 captures clearer videos and photos than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has slower 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have a F1.8 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A42 also counts with a camera in the back with lot more MP.
Samsung Galaxy A42 features superior battery life than LG G8X ThinQ, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
