The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is just a bit better than LG G8X ThinQ's 82.7 global score. The LG G8X ThinQ features just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG G8X ThinQ also has a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy A42 captures clearer videos and photos than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has slower 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have a F1.8 aperture and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy A42 also counts with a camera in the back with lot more MP.
Samsung Galaxy A42 features superior battery life than LG G8X ThinQ, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
