Comparison review

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a score of 87.2, which is a little bit better than LG G8X ThinQ's overall score of 82.7. The Sony Xperia 5 II is a newer cellphone, and it is also lighter and just a bit thinner than LG G8X ThinQ. The Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit sharper screen than LG G8X ThinQ, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and a little better screen density.

The LG G8X ThinQ features a greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia 5 II, and although they both have the same internal storage, the LG G8X ThinQ also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB. LG G8X ThinQ and Xperia 5 II count with quite similar processing units, and although the Xperia 5 II has a greater amount of RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores.

LG G8X ThinQ and Sony Xperia 5 II have incredibly similar batteries duration. The Sony Xperia 5 II captures a bit better pictures and videos than LG G8X ThinQ, and although they both have the same video quality and a same resolution back camera, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a much bigger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, better video frame rate and a bigger aperture to take better low light photos.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the LG G8X ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG G8X ThinQ. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, else you can save some dollars and get the LG G8X ThinQ, letting go a couple specifications.
