The Galaxy A42 is way better than LG K50, getting an 87 score against 72.2. The Galaxy A42 design has the same thickness than LG K50, but it's somewhat heavier. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has the previous 11 version and LG K50 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a little faster processing unit than LG K50, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also has more RAM memory.
Galaxy A42 and LG K50 both have extremely similar displays, because although the Galaxy A42 has a little bit worse display pixel density, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 720 x 1600 and a quite bigger display. The Samsung Galaxy A42 captures much clearer videos and photos than LG K50, because it has a way higher resolution back-facing camera, a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photography and a lot better 3840x2160 video definition.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 features a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than LG K50, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1000 GB against 1,95 TB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Galaxy A42 counts with a much better battery duration than LG K50, because it has a 43% bigger battery capacity.
