Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 is a bit better than LG Q70, having an 82.6 score against 77.9. Sony Xperia 1's construction has the same thickness than LG Q70, but it is somewhat lighter. The Xperia 1 counts with a little faster processor than LG Q70, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xperia 1 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Sony Xperia 1 counts with a sharper display than LG Q70, because it has a lot higher pixels density, a little bit bigger display and a way higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. LG Q70 features a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not nice for shooting photos and video in low-light environments and a tinier back-facing camera sensor shooting lower quality photos, and they both have the same (4K) video quality, the LG Q70 also counts with higher video frame rate and a lot higher resolution back facing camera.
The LG Q70 has a slightly better storage capacity for games and applications than Xperia 1, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The LG Q70 has better battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG Q70, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the LG Q70. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia 1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the LG Q70, letting go a couple specs and features.
