Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is a bit better than the LG Q70's overall score of 77.9. Even though the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is notably older than the LG Q70, it's construction is a bit lighter and just a bit thinner. These phones work with Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version while LG Q70 has Android 10 version.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little faster processor than LG Q70, because although it has lesser RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics co-processor. The Xperia Z5 Premium features a way better looking screen than LG Q70, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a much higher pixel count per inch of display.
The LG Q70 features a superior storage to install applications and games than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 32 GB more internal storage and a SD extension slot that holds up to 1,95 TB. The LG Q70 features a little longer battery life than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
LG Q70 captures slightly better videos and photos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has a tinier sensor which gives a lower image and video quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same camera aperture, the LG Q70 also counts with a lot higher resolution back-facing camera.
Although Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG Q70, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG Q70. If you want to save some dollars, you can get LG Q70, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
