Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a score of 78.1, which is a little bit better than the LG Q8's 77.2 general score. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has older 4.4.2 version and LG Q8 has Android 7.0 Nougat version. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus design is just a bit lighter than LG Q8, although it's just a bit thicker and was released 3 years before.

LG Q8 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has more pixels per inch of screen, a little bigger display and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus has a bit superior processing unit than LG Q8, because although it has 2 GB less RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus also counts with an additional graphics processor.

The LG Q8 counts with much more memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB and 32 GB internal storage capacity. The LG Q8 features a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy S5 Plus, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2800mAh.

The LG Q8 features a little bit better camera than Galaxy S5 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, a camera in the back with a 16 MP resolution, the same video frame rate and the same back-facing camera sensor size, the LG Q8 also has a larger camera aperture to take better photography and videos in low-light situations.
