Comparison review
LG V30S ThinQ is a bit better than Huawei Mate 20, getting a score of 82.5 against 79.5. Even though LG V30S ThinQ and Huawei Mate 20 were only released with a few months difference, LG V30S ThinQ is thinner and somewhat lighter. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the LG V30S ThinQ has the older 8.0 Oreo version while Huawei Mate 20 has Android 9.0 Pie.
Huawei Mate 20 counts with a processing unit that's just as good as the LG V30S ThinQ one, and although the Huawei Mate 20 has lesser RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Huawei Mate 20 features a display that is very similar to the screen in LG V30S ThinQ, because although the Huawei Mate 20 has a lot worse 1080 x 2244 resolution and a lot lower pixel density, it also counts with a quite larger screen.
LG V30S ThinQ has a much greater memory for apps and games than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have equal internal memory, the LG V30S ThinQ also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The Huawei Mate 20 counts with better battery duration than LG V30S ThinQ, because it has a 21% bigger battery capacity.
The Huawei Mate 20 captures just a bit better photographs and videos than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a lower (4K) video resolution, a camera in the back with much less megapixels and a smaller aperture which is not so good for capturing images and video in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a much larger camera sensor which provides a lot better photo and video quality.
Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it is way more expensive than Huawei Mate 20, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Huawei Mate 20. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the LG V30S ThinQ, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Huawei Mate 20, letting go some features and specs.
