LG V30S ThinQ has a global score of 82.5, which is a little bit better than the LG V40 ThinQ's global score of 81.2. Both devices in this comparison review have Android operating system, but LG V30S ThinQ has a newer 8.0 Oreo version and LG V40 ThinQ has Android 10 version, so it provides you a lot of extra features and better performance. The LG V30S ThinQ is a a little thinner and a little lighter phone than the LG V40 ThinQ, although they were released only a few months apart.

The LG V40 ThinQ counts with a little sharper screen than LG V30S ThinQ, and although they both have a better quantity of pixels per display inch, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a slightly higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 and a quite bigger screen. LG V40 ThinQ features a little better performance than LG V30S ThinQ. Both have a 6 GB RAM memory and a Octa-Core processing unit.

The LG V30S ThinQ has a quite bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than LG V40 ThinQ, and although they both have an external memory card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB, the LG V30S ThinQ also has 128 GB internal storage. The LG V40 ThinQ's battery life is very similar to LG V30S ThinQ's battery duration.

LG V40 ThinQ captures slightly better pictures and videos than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a back facing camera with lot less mega-pixels and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture and a bigger sensor taking better quality videos and photos.

Although LG V30S ThinQ is a better device, it costs a lot more than the LG V40 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG V40 ThinQ. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy LG V40 ThinQ, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
