LG V30S ThinQ has a global score of 82.5, which is a little bit better than the Xperia Z5 Premium's score of 79.8. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android operating system, but the LG V30S ThinQ has 8.0 Oreo version and Xperia Z5 Premium has Android 5.1. The LG V30S ThinQ is a much newer phone, and it is also just a little thinner and somewhat lighter than Xperia Z5 Premium.
The LG V30S ThinQ has a little better processing power than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, and they both have the same number of cores, the LG V30S ThinQ also counts with 3 GB more RAM. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much more vibrant screen than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better screen density and a much higher 3840 x 2160 resolution.
LG V30S ThinQ counts with a much greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 1,95 TB and 96 GB more internal memory capacity. The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little bit better camera than LG V30S ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for capturing pictures and/or video in low light environments, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a much larger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a way more mega pixels back camera.

If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Xperia Z5 Premium, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
