LG V40 ThinQ is just a bit better than LG G7 ThinQ, having an 81.2 score against 81. Both phones we are comparing here have Android operating system, but LG V40 ThinQ has an older 10 version and LG G7 ThinQ has Android 9.0 Pie version. LG V40 ThinQ's construction is just a bit heavier but just a bit thinner than LG G7 ThinQ, and they were released with only a few months difference.

The LG G7 ThinQ has a better screen than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same resolution of 1440 x 3120px, the LG G7 ThinQ also counts with a just a little higher pixel number per inch in the screen. The LG V40 ThinQ has a bit better processing power than LG G7 ThinQ, and although they both have the same number of cores, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a larger amount of RAM memory.

The LG G7 ThinQ features a bit better camera than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier aperture and a smaller sensor, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the LG G7 ThinQ also counts with a camera with a lot better resolution. LG G7 ThinQ features as much memory capacity for apps and games as the LG V40 ThinQ one, both have equal internal memory and an external memory card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB.

LG V40 ThinQ counts with a little longer battery life than LG G7 ThinQ, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.

Although LG V40 ThinQ is a better device, it costs more than LG G7 ThinQ, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG G7 ThinQ. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy LG G7 ThinQ, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
