LG V40 ThinQ has a general score of 81.2, which is slightly better than LG Q8's 77.2 score. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the LG V40 ThinQ has the previous 10 version while LG Q8 has Android 7.0 Nougat. LG V40 ThinQ's construction is newer and a little bit thinner, but also heavier than LG Q8.

LG Q8 has a little bit better looking screen than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a little worse 1440 x 2560 resolution, it also counts with a bit greater screen density. LG V40 ThinQ features a quite bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than LG Q8, and although they both have an external SD slot that allows a maximum of 1,95 TB, the LG V40 ThinQ also has 64 GB internal storage capacity.

LG V40 ThinQ counts with just a bit better processing power than LG Q8, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. LG V40 ThinQ has a slightly better camera than LG Q8, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a lot worse 12 megapixels resolution camera, and they both have a 0.38 inches sensor, the LG V40 ThinQ also counts with a bigger aperture to take better low-light images and videos.

The LG V40 ThinQ features just a bit better battery life than LG Q8, because it has a 10 percent greater battery size.
