LG V40 ThinQ is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy A40, with a global score of 81.2 against 79.6. Both devices we are comparing here have Android OS (Operating System), but the LG V40 ThinQ has the older 10 version and Samsung Galaxy A40 has Android 11. Even though the LG V40 ThinQ and Samsung Galaxy A40 were released only a few months apart, the LG V40 ThinQ body is somewhat heavier but just a little thinner.

LG V40 ThinQ counts with a slightly better screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has a quite larger screen, a higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px and a just a little greater display density. The LG V40 ThinQ has just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a higher amount of RAM.

The LG V40 ThinQ features a slightly better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a camera in the back with a lot worse 12 mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a much higher video resolution, a bigger camera aperture to take better photos and video in low-light situations and a larger back camera sensor taking better quality photos.

LG V40 ThinQ counts with a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 1,95 TB. The LG V40 ThinQ has just a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy A40, because it has 3300mAh of battery capacity.
