Galaxy A42 is a bit better than the LG V40 ThinQ, getting an 87 score against 81.2. The Galaxy A42 construction is extremely newer, but thicker and somewhat heavier than the LG V40 ThinQ. Both devices in this review come with Android OS, but the Galaxy A42 has 11 version while LG V40 ThinQ has Android 10.

The LG V40 ThinQ counts with a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with way more pixels per inch of screen and a much better resolution of 1440 x 3120px. LG V40 ThinQ features a bit better processing unit than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have 8 cores, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a larger amount of RAM.

Samsung Galaxy A42 takes just a bit better videos and photos than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for taking photos and/or video in low-light environments and slower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Samsung Galaxy A42 also counts with a camera in the back with a much higher 48 mega pixels resolution.

The Galaxy A42 features a little bit better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports 1000 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a very superior battery duration than LG V40 ThinQ, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 3300mAh.
