LG V40 ThinQ has an overall score of 81.2, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy M12's global score of 80. LG V40 ThinQ is an incredibly older device than the Samsung Galaxy M12, but it is much lighter and a lot thinner anyway. These phones come with the same Android 10 OS, so both of them should give identical operating system features.
The LG V40 ThinQ counts with a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy M12, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a greater amount of RAM memory. LG V40 ThinQ has a lot better screen than Galaxy M12, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with much more pixels per inch of display and a much higher resolution of 1440 x 3120px.

Galaxy M12's camera is very similar to the LG V40 ThinQ one, because although the Galaxy M12 has a lot tinier aperture which is worse for capturing pictures and/or video in poorly lited environments and lower video frame rates, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, it also counts with a lot higher resolution back camera.
The Samsung Galaxy M12 has a way better battery life than LG V40 ThinQ, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
