Comparison review
The LG V40 ThinQ has an overall score of 81.2, which is slightly better than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact's 79 overall score. Both devices we compare here use Android OS (Operating System), but the LG V40 ThinQ has an older 10 version and Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Although the LG V40 ThinQ and the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact were released only 7 months apart, LG V40 ThinQ's body is noticeably thinner but just a bit heavier than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact.
Xperia XZ2 Compact has a little more vivid display than LG V40 ThinQ, although it has a lot worse resolution of 1080 x 2160, a quite worse pixels number in each display inch and a way smaller display. The LG V40 ThinQ counts with a bit faster processor than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the LG V40 ThinQ also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
Xperia XZ2 Compact shoots a little bit better videos and photos than LG V40 ThinQ, because although it has a way tinier aperture which is not nice for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a lot more mega pixels back camera and a larger sensor.
LG V40 ThinQ features a much greater memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia XZ2 Compact, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the LG V40 ThinQ also has an external SD slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB. The LG V40 ThinQ features just a bit better battery performance than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 15 percent larger battery size.
