Comparison review
Google Pixel 4a 5G has a global score of 87.5, which is just a bit better than the LG Velvet's overall score of 87.1. Google Pixel 4a 5G's body is a bit thicker but just a little bit lighter than the LG Velvet, and both were released with only 6 months difference. Google Pixel 4a 5G has a bit sharper display than LG Velvet, because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher pixels density.
LG Velvet counts with a much bigger memory for games and applications than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and although they both have the same internal storage, the LG Velvet also has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 1,95 TB. The Google Pixel 4a 5G has a processing unit that is very similar to LG Velvet's processing unit, both have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 6 GB RAM.
LG Velvet shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because although it has lower video frame rates and a smaller aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the LG Velvet also counts with a lot higher 48 mega pixels resolution camera and a much bigger sensor providing a much better image quality.
The LG Velvet features a bit better battery performance than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has 4300mAh of battery capacity.
Although Google Pixel 4a 5G is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than LG Velvet, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as LG Velvet. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Google Pixel 4a 5G, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the LG Velvet, resigning a couple features and specs.
