Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 has a general score of 77.4, which is just a bit better than Lumia 950 XL's 75 general score. Huawei Mate 8's design is just a bit thinner but somewhat heavier than the Lumia 950 XL, and both of them were released with only a couple of months difference. Lumia 950 XL features a sharper screen than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater display density and a better 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a superior performance than Lumia 950 XL, because it has a larger number of cores and more RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 8 has much more memory for apps and games than Lumia 950 XL, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that allows 72 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
Microsoft Lumia 950 XL captures much better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light photography and video, a lot higher (4K) video resolution and a higher 20 megapixels resolution back camera. Huawei Mate 8 counts with longer battery performance than Lumia 950 XL, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3340mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 8, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, letting go a couple features and specifications.
