Huawei Mate 8 is a little bit better than the Microsoft Lumia 950, with a 77.4 score against 74.1. Even though the Huawei Mate 8 and Microsoft Lumia 950 were released with only 2 months difference, Huawei Mate 8's body is somewhat heavier but also a little bit thinner than Microsoft Lumia 950. The Lumia 950 features a much more vibrant display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot more pixels per inch of screen and a better 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a faster CPU than Lumia 950, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a higher number of cores. Microsoft Lumia 950 counts with just a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light captures and video, a higher 20 MP resolution back camera and a much higher (4K) video definition.
Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much bigger memory for games and applications than Lumia 950, because although it has a SD extension slot that allows 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory. Huawei Mate 8 counts with greater battery performance than Microsoft Lumia 950, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Microsoft Lumia 950, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Lumia 950. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Microsoft Lumia 950, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
