Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is much better than the Motorola Moto G31, getting an 85.3 score against 77. Both phones in our current comparison use the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding that. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 body is a lot heavier but a lot thinner than the Motorola Moto G31, and they were released with only a couple months difference.
The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 counts with a little bit better display than Moto G31, because although it has a little bit less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a larger display and a better resolution of 1892 x 2688. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has just a little better hardware performance than Moto G31, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has more RAM memory.
The Moto G31 features a much better storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB. The Moto G31 counts with just a bit longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4449mAh.
Moto G31 takes clearer pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has slower 30 frames per second video frame rates and a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same (Full HD) video quality, the Moto G31 also counts with a much better resolution back-facing camera.
