Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is a little bit better than Samsung Galaxy S9, with a general score of 85.3 against 83.3. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is a notably newer and way thinner phone than the Samsung Galaxy S9, although it's a lot heavier. The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 features a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy S9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 also has a greater amount of RAM.

Galaxy S9 has just a bit better display than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has a really smaller display and a bit worse 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, it also counts with a greater display density. Galaxy S9 has a better storage capacity for applications and games than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 400 GB.

Samsung Galaxy S9 shoots slightly better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, and although they both have the same resolution back camera, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 60 fps video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a larger aperture to take better images and videos in low light environments.

The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S9, because it has a 4449mAh battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

Although Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Galaxy S9, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S9. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Duo 2, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Galaxy S9, letting go some specs and features.
