Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 III is slightly better than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, with a global score of 90.5 against 85.3. Although Sony Xperia 5 III and Microsoft Surface Duo 2 were released with only a couple months difference, Sony Xperia 5 III's body is a lot thicker but also way lighter. These phones come with the same Android 11 OS (operating system).
The Sony Xperia 5 III's processor is just as good as the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 one, both have 8 processing cores and the same RAM memory amount. Microsoft Surface Duo 2 has just a bit better display than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a just a little lower display density, it also counts with a better 1892 x 2688 resolution and a way bigger screen.
The Sony Xperia 5 III has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB and more internal storage. Xperia 5 III's battery life is very similar to the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 one, although the Xperia 5 III also has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
The Sony Xperia 5 III shoots just a bit better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, and although they both have the same aperture, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same resolution back facing camera, the Sony Xperia 5 III also has faster 120 frames per second video frame rates.
