The Xperia PRO-I is much better than the Microsoft Surface Duo 2, having a general score of 96.3 against 85.3. Although the Xperia PRO-I and the Microsoft Surface Duo 2 were released with only 3 months difference, the Xperia PRO-I design is noticeably lighter but incredibly thicker than the Microsoft Surface Duo 2. Both devices in this comparison review include the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any differences in that aspect.

Xperia PRO-I has a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater pixel density and a slightly higher 1644 x 3840 pixels resolution. Sony Xperia PRO-I counts with a much bigger memory for applications and games than Microsoft Surface Duo 2, because it has 512 GB internal memory and a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 1 TB.
