Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Duo has an overall score of 78.8, which is just a bit better than the HTC One M9's 77.7 global score. Even though Microsoft Surface Duo is extremely heavier than the HTC One M9, it's way thinner and also much newer. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but Microsoft Surface Duo has the newer 10 version while HTC One M9 has Android 5.0 version.
HTC One M9 counts with a better looking display than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a lot smaller display and a lot lower 1920 x 1080 resolution, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of display. Microsoft Surface Duo features a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than HTC One M9, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory.
HTC One M9 features a bit better processing unit than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has 3 GB lesser RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the HTC One M9 also counts with a 64-bits processor and a GPU. The Microsoft Surface Duo features longer battery life than HTC One M9, because it has a 3577mAh battery size against 2840mAh.
HTC One M9 takes much clearer videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light photography and videos and lower video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the HTC One M9 also counts with a lot more megapixels camera.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the HTC One M9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the HTC One M9. If you want to save some money, you can buy HTC One M9, and give up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
