The Microsoft Surface Duo has an overall score of 78.8, which is just a bit better than the LG Q70's global score of 77.9. Although the Microsoft Surface Duo and the LG Q70 were only released with a couple of months difference, the Microsoft Surface Duo design is heavier but also a lot thinner. Both devices in this review work with the same Android 10 OS (operating system).
The Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a bit sharper screen than LG Q70, because it has a bit higher number of pixels in each inch in the display, a larger display and a better resolution of 1800 x 2700px. LG Q70 features a way bigger memory to install applications and games than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB.
Microsoft Surface Duo features a bit more powerful processing unit than LG Q70, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has a greater amount of RAM memory. LG Q70 has just a bit better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Duo, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
The LG Q70 captures much better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same video definition, the LG Q70 also counts with a bigger camera aperture for better photography and video in low-light situations and a camera in the back with a much higher resolution.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it costs a lot more money than LG Q70, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as LG Q70. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get LG Q70, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
