The Microsoft Surface Duo is a bit better than the Moto Z3, having a 78.8 score against 77.6. Both of these devices have Android OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface Duo has older 10 version and Moto Z3 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Microsoft Surface Duo is a noticeably newer and a lot thinner device than the Moto Z3, although it is also noticeably heavier.

Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a bit faster processor than Moto Z3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Duo has a bit more vivid display than Moto Z3, because although it has a just a little less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a way larger screen and a way better 1800 x 2700 pixels resolution.

The Motorola Moto Z3 takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has slower 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have a F2 camera aperture and the same (4K) video quality, the Motorola Moto Z3 also counts with a camera with a higher resolution.

The Moto Z3 has a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Microsoft Surface Duo features greater battery duration than Motorola Moto Z3, because it has 3577mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.

Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Duo, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Moto Z3, giving up a couple specifications.
