Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a score of 80.4, which is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface Duo's 78.8 overall score. Despite of the fact the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is notably older and extremely thicker than the Microsoft Surface Duo, it's design is still way lighter. The Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a bit more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a way smaller display and a little lower resolution of 1440 x 2560, it also counts with a higher pixel density. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition counts with a little bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has lower video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Galaxy Note Fan Edition also counts with a larger camera aperture for better images and videos in low light situations and a camera in the back with a higher resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition features a bit bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has less internal memory, it also counts with a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Microsoft Surface Duo features a bit better battery performance than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has 3577mAh of battery capacity.
Although Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it costs a little more than the Microsoft Surface Duo, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Surface Duo. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Microsoft Surface Duo, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
