Comparison review

The Xperia 1 has an overall score of 82.6, which is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface Duo's general score of 78.8. Even though the Xperia 1 is older and thicker than the Microsoft Surface Duo, it's design is still much lighter. The Microsoft Surface Duo and the Sony Xperia 1 feature incredibly similar CPUs, both have the same RAM memory amount and 8 cpu cores.

The Sony Xperia 1 features a sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better pixels quantity per inch in the display and a slightly better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels. Xperia 1 counts with a slightly better camera than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Xperia 1 also counts with a bigger camera aperture and a better 12 megapixels resolution camera in the back.

Xperia 1 has a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Microsoft Surface Duo, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Xperia 1 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 512 GB. The Microsoft Surface Duo has a little better battery duration than Xperia 1, because it has 3577mAh of battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Microsoft Surface Duo, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface Duo. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Microsoft Surface Duo, giving up some features and specifications.
