Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Duo is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a 78.8 score against 76.6. The Microsoft Surface Duo body is a lot heavier but incredibly thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and both of them were released only 4 months apart. Both of these phones include the same Android 10 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't see any differences regarding OS features.
The Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a bit better processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has a greater amount of RAM. Microsoft Surface Duo features a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because it has a better 1800 x 2700 resolution, a larger screen and a quite greater pixels density.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has worse 30 frames per second video frame rate, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a back camera with a much higher resolution and a bigger camera aperture for better images in poorly lited environments.
Microsoft Surface Duo features slightly more storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a much better battery performance than Microsoft Surface Duo, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Duo, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, letting go some features and specs.
