Comparison review
Moto Z2 Play is a little bit better than the Motorola DROID Turbo 2, getting a general score of 77.4 against 75.4. The Moto Z2 Play body is newer, a lot thinner and somewhat lighter than Motorola DROID Turbo 2. The Motorola Moto Z2 Play has a bit faster processor than Motorola DROID Turbo 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Motorola Moto Z2 Play also has more RAM.
The Motorola DROID Turbo 2 counts with a bit better screen than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution and a greater pixel quantity in each inch in the display. The Motorola DROID Turbo 2 takes slightly better videos and photos than Moto Z2 Play, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low-light images and videos, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 also counts with a camera in the back with a lot better 21 mega-pixels resolution.
The Moto Z2 Play has as much memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos as the Motorola DROID Turbo 2, they have equal internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that allows up to 1,95 TB. Motorola DROID Turbo 2 counts with better battery duration than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 25% larger battery size.
Although Motorola Moto Z2 Play is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola DROID Turbo 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Motorola DROID Turbo 2. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Motorola Moto Z2 Play, else you can save some dollars and get the Motorola DROID Turbo 2, letting go some specifications.
