Motorola Edge 20 Pro is much better than the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, having a global score of 92.8 against 78.1. Both phones in this review come with Android operating system, but the Motorola Edge 20 Pro has the newer 12 version while Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has Android 11, so it provides a lot of extra features and performance optimizations. Even though the Motorola Edge 20 Pro and Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 were released only 5 months apart, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro construction is a bit heavier but thinner than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy XCover 5, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Motorola Edge 20 Pro features a slightly better looking screen than Galaxy XCover 5, because it has a bigger display, a better pixels quantity in each inch of screen and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 2400.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro features a bit bigger storage to store more apps and games than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Motorola Edge 20 Pro takes greater pictures and videos than Galaxy XCover 5, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not so good for low light captures and videos, it also counts with a lot higher 7680x4320 video definition and a camera with a much better resolution.
The Motorola Edge 20 Pro features a superior battery duration than Samsung Galaxy XCover 5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
