The Motorola Edge (2024) design is much newer, but just a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier than the HTC U11. The HTC U11 counts with a much better performing CPU than Motorola Edge (2024), although it has lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
Motorola Edge (2024) counts with a bit better looking screen than HTC U11, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a lot lower number of pixels in each inch of display, it also counts with a larger screen. Motorola Edge (2024) has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than HTC U11, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage capacity.
The Motorola Edge (2024) has a way better battery life than HTC U11, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity. Motorola Edge (2024) takes clearer pictures and videos than HTC U11, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Motorola Edge (2024) also counts with a camera with a way higher resolution and a lot bigger sensor providing a way higher image quality.
Although Motorola Edge (2024) is a better device, it costs a lot more than HTC U11, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC U11. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Motorola Edge (2024), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC U11, resigning a couple specifications.
