Both phones in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has the previous 5.0 version while Motorola Edge 30 has Android 12 version. Even being the best device we are comparing here, Samsung Galaxy Note 3's design is notably older, a little heavier and thicker than Motorola Edge 30.
Galaxy Note 3 has a sharper screen than Motorola Edge 30, although it has a little inferior pixels amount in each inch in the display, a quite smaller screen and a bit worse 1920 x 1080 resolution. Motorola Edge 30 has a slightly better memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a very superior hardware performance than Motorola Edge 30, because although it has 5 GB lesser RAM and an inferior number of cores , it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Galaxy Note 3 shoots a bit better videos and photos than Motorola Edge 30, although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for taking photos and videos in low-light situations and a way worse 13 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
The Motorola Edge 30 features greater battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because it has a 4020mAh battery size against 3200mAh.
