Motorola Edge 40 Pro is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8, having an 83.4 score against 81.7. The Motorola Edge 40 Pro body is a lot newer, but just a little thicker and much heavier than the Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung Galaxy S8 has a bit more vivid display than Motorola Edge 40 Pro, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution and more pixels per inch in the display.
