The Google Pixel 2 XL is slightly better than Motorola Edge 40, having a score of 82.5 against 77.2. Although it's the best phone in our current comparison, it must be told that it is also older, just a little bit heavier and a bit thicker. The Motorola Edge 40 has a bit more vivid display than Google Pixel 2 XL, because although it has a much lower 1080 x 2400 resolution and a bit worse display density, it also counts with a little bit bigger screen.
Google Pixel 2 XL has a lot better processing power than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. The Motorola Edge 40 captures greater photographs and videos than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a way larger aperture for better low light photography, a much bigger back camera sensor and a camera in the back with a lot better resolution.
Google Pixel 2 XL and Motorola Edge 40 have really similar storage to install games and applications, both of them have the same internal storage. Motorola Edge 40 features longer battery life than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity.
