The Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than the Motorola Edge 40, with a general score of 79.5 against 77.2. Even being the best in our current comparison, we must highlight that it's also a way older, heavier and just a little bit thicker cellphone. These devices include Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13 version, offering a couple nice extra features.

The Motorola Edge 40 counts with a bit longer battery life than Huawei Mate 20, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity. Motorola Edge 40 counts with a superior camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rates, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a much more MP camera in the back, a much larger sensor providing a much higher image quality and a way larger aperture.
