Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a little bit better than Motorola Edge 40, having an 82.9 score against 77.2. Even being the best in this review, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a notably older, thicker and heavier phone than Motorola Edge 40. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a much better processing power than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 cores.
Motorola Edge 40 has a slightly better looking display than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because although it has a way worse 1080 x 2400 resolution and a just a little inferior amount of pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a little larger screen. Motorola Edge 40 counts with a little bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a better image quality, a way bigger aperture and a more megapixels camera in the back.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro's memory capacity to install games and applications is just as good as Motorola Edge 40's one, they have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage. The Motorola Edge 40 features just a bit better battery duration than Huawei Mate 20 Pro, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity.
