Moto G 5G is a bit better than the Motorola Edge 40, getting a general score of 81.5 against 77.2. Both of these phones include Android OS, but Moto G 5G has older 10 version and Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13. Although it's the best in our current comparison, it must be noted that it's also a noticeably older, much heavier and thicker cellphone.
Motorola Edge 40 has a more vivid display than Moto G 5G, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2400, the Motorola Edge 40 also counts with a just a bit higher pixels quantity per inch in the screen. The Motorola Moto G 5G counts with a lot better hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
The Motorola Moto G 5G counts with much more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that holds up to 1000 GB. The Motorola Moto G 5G has just a little bit longer battery life than Motorola Edge 40, because it has a 5000mAh battery size against 4400mAh.
Motorola Edge 40 takes clearer photos and videos than Moto G 5G, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a camera with more MP and a bigger diafragm aperture for better captures in poorly lited environments.
